Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District
The Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District is a community development corporation that created a sustainable cultural district in the area surrounding Newark’s picturesque, 11-acre Lincoln Park. In his role as Deputy Mayor of Housing and Development, Baye Adofo-Wilson served as joint developer of more than $50 million dollars of mixed-use residential and retail buildings in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, utilizing new market tax credits and other tools to bring essential city infrastructure such as low-income housing to the area. Under the leadership of Adofo-Wilson and his partners on the development team, the 501(c) nonprofit helped transform the Lincoln Park neighborhood into a vibrant community with affordable housing, cultural programming, and urban agriculture — all while creating "green" jobs in the city of Newark.
