The Hinchliffe Stadium Neighborhood Restoration Project

Building new community at Paterson's historic baseball landmark


BAW Development, in partnership with RPM Partners, recently completed the Hinchliffe Stadium Neighborhood Restoration Project. An ambitious, $103 million dollar neighborhood redevelopment project centered around the preservation and restoration of Hinchliffe Stadium and the development of affordable housing adjacent to Paterson’s Great Falls. The Hinchliffe Stadium Neighborhood Restoration Project encompasses the following:

Preservation and restoration of the 7,800-seat Hinchliffe Stadium, a National Historic Landmark that was once home to the New York Black Yankees, the New York Cubans, and the Newark Eagles.

History Center

Exhibition space and nonprofit learning center dedicated to the history of sports and entertainment at Hinchliffe Stadium, with a specific focus on showcasing Negro League Baseball, auto racing, football, and more.

Six-story, USGBC LEED Platinum-certified affordable senior housing building featuring 75 units, reserved for residents 55 and older who earn up to 60% of the area median income.
